Portrait Photography

Capturing the beauty and truth of who you are

Professional and personal portrait photography for individuals and organizations looking for images that feel authentic, unique, and creative. My goal is to create photos that not only look good and bring out the best of you, but feel like you — honest and deeply human.

Professional

Whether you’re an artist, small business owner, entrepreneur, or part of a nonprofit, I specialize in professional headshots and lifestyle portraits with a personal touch. We’ll collaborate on location and styling to create environmental portraits that reflect your work, your story, and the energy you want to share with the world. These images are perfect for LinkedIn, resumes, websites, press kits, social media, and other promotional materials — both online and in print.

Personal

Need a few standout shots for your dating profile or social media? I offer more casual, affordable mini-sessions — including dating profile photos that are simple, fun, and flattering. I also work with seniors and students looking for photos that celebrate who they are in that season.

The Difference

A personalized, collaborative experience

Personal

I enjoy getting to know people- their energy, personality, work, and passions. It helps everyone relax during the shoot and the photos turn out better as a result. The whole experience is personalized to your look, needs and desires.

Collaboration

I value collaboration as part of the creative process. I love to hear your ideas and work together every step of the way to achieve the best result. It’s a win-win!

Creative

Have you ever looked at a portrait photography website and thought, these all kind of look the same? The background, poses, or clothes. Unless you like a very specific vibe, I approach each shoot with an open mind and new ideas.

Frequently asked questions

A good first impression is everything. Whether you’re applying for a job, launching a project, or creating a dating profile, people will often see your image before they ever meet you — and our brains form first impressions in less than 30 seconds. Like it or not, how we present ourselves visually matters. Investing in professional photography shows that you take yourself and your work seriously, and that you’re ready to be seen in the best light — literally and figuratively.

Have you ever tried to take a photo and it just didn’t come out the way you hoped? You’re not alone. Capturing a great image involves more than just pointing a camera — it takes skill, intuition, and experience. With over 12 years of real-life photography work and a background in formal training, I understand the details that make a photo truly work: lighting, composition, camera settings, posing, and editing — all tailored to bring out your natural presence.

But beyond the technical side, photography can be transformative. I believe in creating a space where you feel relaxed, seen, and celebrated. I offer genuine encouragement throughout the session, helping you show up with confidence and authenticity. When you see yourself in a photo that truly captures your essence, something shifts — your self-image strengthens, and your story begins to speak for itself.

Photography, at its best, is about connection — with yourself and with those who view your image. It’s an artful, intentional way to express who you are and how you want to be seen.

Consultation
We’ll start with a free 30-minute consultation to talk through your goals, vision, and any questions you may have. This is our time to collaborate and get aligned before the shoot.

Booking & Setup
If you decide to move forward, we’ll schedule a date and time for your session. I’ll send over a contract and request a 50% deposit to secure your booking.

Concept Planning
Once the contract is signed and the deposit is received, I’ll create a personalized plan for your shoot — including location ideas, styling suggestions, posing inspiration, and overall mood.

The Photoshoot
We’ll meet at the agreed-upon location, fine-tune your look, and shoot for the time that is indicated in your package. I’ll guide you as needed, helping you feel comfortable and confident throughout the session.

Photo Selection
After the shoot, I’ll review the images and send you a gallery of the best shots. We’ll hop on a quick call to talk about which photos you’d like edited and discuss any specific preferences.

Editing & Delivery
I’ll edit the selected photos and upload them to a shared folder for easy access. If your package includes edits, this is where the magic happens.

Final Pay and Adjustments
If you’re not fully satisfied with the edits, just reach out with your feedback — I’m happy to make thoughtful adjustments to ensure you love the final results. Once we’re all done, you’ll send over the remaining 50% of the payment.

From our initial consultation call to the actual photoshoot, I typically aim to schedule sessions anywhere from 1 week to 1 month out, depending on both of our schedules and the nature of your shoot.

After the session, turnaround time is usually 1–2 weeks, depending on your package and how much editing is involved. I’ll keep you updated on the process so you know what to expect and when to expect your final images.

I’m based in Silicon Valley and primarily work throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. I usually choose shoot locations that are within about an hour of both my home and yours, to keep things convenient. That said, I’m happy to travel up to 3 hours away for the right project — just note that an additional travel fee may apply depending on the distance and your chosen package.

I focus mainly on 1:1 portrait sessions and work with individuals or creative organizations — especially those looking for group photos to promote performances or artistic projects. While I don’t offer traditional family, wedding, or engagement shoots, I do offer senior portraits for individuals ages 18 and up.

I completely understand that life happens — sometimes things come up that are out of our control. If you need to reschedule or cancel your shoot, please contact me as soon as possible, ideally at least 24 hours before your session. You may reschedule your shoot once, and it must be within 30 calendar days of the original session date.

If you need to cancel, you can do so up to 48 hours in advance without any additional fees. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the shoot, or no-shows, will incur a $75 fee to help cover the time and preparation already invested.

Of course, I make exceptions for true emergencies such as medical situations, a death in the family, or natural disasters. If that’s the case, just let me know — I’ll always approach it with understanding and flexibility.

Deposits are generally non-refundable, as they reserve your session time and help cover the work that goes into preparing and processing your shoot before and after the day of. That said, I understand life can be unpredictable — in the rare event that you’ve paid, signed the contract, and don’t hear back from me due to unforeseen circumstances on my end, your deposit will be fully refunded.

Yes — I take great care in backing up and storing your photos to keep them safe. Once I upload the images to my computer, they’re automatically backed up to the cloud via Microsoft OneDrive. I also keep all the original photos on the SD card until the entire editing and delivery process is complete.

I remove any obviously blurry or unusable shots, and then create a Flickr folder with the rest of your images. You’ll have access to that folder to view, download, and share your photos whenever you like.

As the photographer, I retain the copyright to all images — this means I hold the exclusive rights to reproduce, use, and publicly display them.

That said, I absolutely encourage you to share and post your photos online! I just ask that you please credit me when you do (a simple tag or mention is perfect). It’s a great way to honor the creative process and help others find my work.
